Nikki received her Bachelor of Biological Sciences Degree from NIU in 1997. She discovered her passion was working with animals and joined our team in 2002.
Nikki's family include an Aussie Cattle Dog named Yankee, a Chiweenie named Smalls and three cats - Michael, Smoki and Mr Midnight.
In her spare time Nikki enjoys participating in Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiujitsu and Muay Thai.
Laura began in the veterinary field in 1998 as a veterinary assistant and a groomer. She took classes at Waubonsee to expand her skills and joined our team in 2003. Laura worked as both veterinary technician and groomer for the Sugar Grove Animal Hospital until the primary groomer retired.
Laura's family include a cat named Static. In her free time she enjoys riding motorcycles, spending time with her husband and enjoying nature; gardening and fishing.
Cassie graduated from North Park University with a Bachelor of Biology in 2004 before joining our team. After discovering a passion for working with animals she returned to study and received her CVT from Joliet Junior College in 2008.
Cassie's family include a Labrador cross named Hunter and a cat named Tread (a stray that was hit by a car and found a home with Cassie). When she is not at work you can find her horseback riding, baking and chasing after her kids.
Cori graduated from Argosy University in 2006 with her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology. She later went to Globe University in Madison, Wisconsin to receive her B.S. in Veterinary Management in 2011. Cori has been working in the veterinary field since 2006. She joined our team in 2010.
Cori's family includes two Labradors named Brewski and Anchor, and a French Bulldog named Lindy.
In her free time Cori enjoys boating, wakeboarding, crossfit and spending time with her family.
Sam has been working in the Veterinary field since 2012. She obtained her AAS degree in Veterinary Technology and became certified in 2015. Sam joined Sugar Grove Animal Hospital in 2017.
Sam's family includes a Dachshund named Nellie, a Pug cross named Franco, a Chow Dalmation cross named Riley, an Aussie cross named Horton and two cats; Sabrina and Lettie.
In her free time Sam enjoys winery tours, going on road trips and spending time with friends, family and her pets.
Tammy attended Western Illinois University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. After graduation Tammy worked as a zookeeper for more than 11 years. Tammy joined the Sugar Grove Animal Hospital team in 2017.
Tammy's family includes a Puggle name Blaze. In her free time Tammy enjoys cheering for her son when he is playing sports, cake decorating and reading.
Nicky studied at Waubonsee College. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1999 joining the Sugar Grove Animal Hospital in 2017.
Nicky's family includes two Mastiffs; Amira Moo and Rosie and three cats; Bootsie, Hugo and Hazelnut. When she is not working, Nicky enjoys photography, gardening and massage therapy.
Kerstin attended Harrison College in Indiana where she completed the Veterinary Technician program in 2017. Upon completion she began working in the veterinary field and joined our team in 2018.
When not at work Kerstin enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking and church activities.
Kerstin's family includes three German Shepherds named Kenzie, Willow and Aksel.
Kaylyn started in the veterinary field in 2012. To improve her career opportunities she went back to school and graduated in 2018 with a Veterinary Technology Degree and Certification from Joliet Junior College and Rockford Career College. Kaylyn joined our team shortly after she graduated.
Kaylyn's family includes a Lab cross named Hershey and a Chihuahua cross named Izzy. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family and her dogs.
Mallory graduated from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree. She is currently enrolled in the Penn-Foster Veterinary Technician Program. Mallory began working in the veterinary field in 2017 and joined our team in 2019.
Mallory and her husband live with on a farm with a menagerie of animals including horses, dogs, cats, chickens and bees. On her days off she enjoys riding horses, singing and cooking.
Maddie completed the Veterinary Assistant Program at College of DuPage. She joined our team in 2019.
Maddy's family include two dogs,Stormy and Drake and three cats Marshmallow, Shadow and Zoe.
When she is not working Maddie enjoys sewing, reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with her pets.
Sam started working in the veterinary field in 2018. She has an Associates Degree in Biology and is enrolled in the Penn-Foster online veterinary technician school.
Sam's family includes a Pitbull named Gunnar and a mix named Piper.
Alyssa has a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Business Marketing and Management with a minor in Equine Science from Murray State University in Kentucky. She started working in the veterinary industry in 2013 before joining our team in 2020.
Alyssa 's family includes a Border Collie Lab cross named Izzy and a cat named Lexi. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, crafting and running her Etsy store.
Brynn completed her education at Kaneland and Waubonsee before starting in the veterinary industry in 2017. She joined our team in 2021. Brynn's family includes Zoey, a Boxer Cross and a 120 gallon freshwater aquarium full of fish and other critters. Outside of work Brynn is an avid sports fan and enjoys fishing, cooking and reading.
Karen earned a Bachelor's of Animal Science at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville before starting in the veterinary industry in 2015. She joined the Sugar Grove Animal Hospital team in 2021.
Karen's family includes a Yellow Labrador named Lager. Her hobbies include horseback riding, running and spending time with family.
Kristi has a background in Phlebotomy and started in the veterinary industry in 2016. We welcomed her to our team in 2021.
Kristi enjoys boating and line dancing and her family includes Kane, a Cattle Dog mix.
Wendy graduated with an Associates in Science from Kishwaukee College and got her Veterinary Assistant qualification in 2018. She joined the Sugar Grove Animal Hospital team in 2021.
Wendy volunteers her free time at animal rescues as well as fostering where she specializes in bottle feeding young puppies and kittens. Wendy's family include six dogs; a doberman called Daphne, a pit bull called Shae and four Huskies - Zoya, Pharoh, Sakari and Elaina.
